Claude A. Bentley, age 95 of Monroe, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Funeral Service was held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 27, 2025 in the Monroe Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Brown and Pastor Ray Parker officiating. The interment was held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Melwood Cemetery, 5170 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Stone Mountain, GA 30083.
Claude was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served his country honorably during the Korean conflict. After leaving the military, he worked for 25 years with the USPS in the East Point Mail Bag Facility.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Betty (Brown) Bentley, second wife Carol Ann (Cox) Bentley; parents, Claude Andrew Bentley, Sr. and Bobbie Loe (Griffin) Bentley; Claude is survived by his children, Andy (Ava) Bentley of Monroe, Robin Craig of Monroe; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Dean (Joann) Bentley of Jonesboro; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
