On December 8, 2024, James (Jim) Thomas Gunn, 64, passed away while playing hockey, the sport he loved. Jim is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Beth) Conbeer Gunn, his son Ian and Ian’s wife, Larissa, and their children, Elijah, 3, and Jax, 1, who loved playing with their Poppop; his son Peter and Peter’s partner Demetric Howard; his brother Robert (Bob) Gunn, his sister Linda Cortes and his dear Aunt Marie (Mary), who meant the world to him. Jim was pre-deceased by his father, Morris Gunn, and mother, Joan Vitagliano and her husband Nick Vitagliano.
Jim served in the US Navy and was employed at Walton EMC. His passion was hockey and the fellowship of his teammates and friends. Jim had a big heart and was always lending a helping hand to those in need.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, 3200 Brooks Drive, Snellville, GA, on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11 AM.
