Louisa H. Ramey passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 after a brief illness. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Born October 7, 1955, in Aiken, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Hoffmeier. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Social Work, and a longtime Bulldog fan, Louisa began a career with the American Red Cross before returning home to support a growing family.
Louisa is survived by her husband, Robert L. Ramey Jr. and her children and their spouses, Lucas and Leslie Ramey and Caroline and Mark Raspotnik, in addition to two sisters, Mary Jo Beard (Tom) and Carol Hoffmeier.
The family is forever grateful for the exceptional care and compassion provided by the medical staff at Piedmont Eastside and Piedmont Walton hospitals.
A visitation will be held at Tim Stewart Funeral Home (670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052) at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2026, followed immediately by a memorial service at 3:00 pm in the same location. A private entombment will be held in the following days at Hill Haven Memory Gardens and Mausoleum.
