Mary Ruth Studdard Peters, age 91, of Walton County GA passed away on May 15, 2026. She was born in Social Circle GA on September 11, 1934 to the late Annie Gertrude Harrison and the late Jack Studdard.

Those preceding Mary Ruth in death include her loving husband of 54 years, James Ralph Peters, her son James Wayne Peters, her granddaughter Leanne Peters Lowen, her son-in-law Ray Felton Bridges Jr, her parents, her siblings JC, Sarah, Lillie, Hugh, and Jimmy Studdard.

Those she leaves behind are her brother, Jerry Studdard (Brenda) and her sister, Deborah Studdard Smith (Frank); her daughter, Elaine Peters Bridges; her son, Ralph Timothy Peters;
daughter-in-law, Patricia House Peters; grandchildren, Marlene Lynch Pickett (Tim), Jason Lowen (Leanne, Melanie Lynch Romalin (Michael), Joshua Wayne Peters, Joshua Seth Pennino (Skye), Jeremiah Justin Peters (Kristen); great grandchildren, Savannah Pickett, Sydney Lowen, Averi Lowen, James Peters and Jordan Peters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 19th at Meadows Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 19th at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Wayne Durden officiating.  Interment will follow at Peters Cemetery.  Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
