Robert Alton Escoe, age 85, passed away on May 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Graveside inurnment will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Bay Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army and spent many years in the logging and timber business. Robert was a proud member of the Fergus Lodge #135 for 53 years, valuing the friendships and fellowship he found there.
Robert was a smart man, the kind of person who always seemed to know what to do in any situation. He believed in being prepared and made sure his family knew what to do when life brought challenges. If there was a question, Robert usually had the answer.
Above all, Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, a man who deeply loved and took care of his family. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening and found joy in the outdoors and simple pleasures of life.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Helen Escoe; his wife, Janice Escoe; and his brother, Leon Escoe.
He is survived by his children, Sherry & Robert Horvieth and Bryan Escoe; grandchildren, Wesley Lowrance, Brandon & Susana Lowrance, Robby Horvieth, and Jessie Thomas; great-grandchildren, Savannah Thomas and Avery Altman; and siblings, Pat & Kenneth Ellington, Margaret & Johnny Mitchell, Glenda Yarberry, Marvin & Joyce Escoe, and Brenda Escoe.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the love, care and kindness shown by his “special girls” at The Retreat in Loganville.
