It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Phillips Toole, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on December 6, 2024, at the age of 86.
Born on January 2, 1938, in Charleston, South Carolina. Robert dedicated his life to serving his country with the distinction as an Avionics Electronics Technician in the United States Air Force, the United States Marine Corps, and later in Civil Service. His leadership, compassion, loyalty, and kindness were hallmarks of his character, and he often expressed his deep honor and privilege in serving his country.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Teri Toole, and his cherished daughters, Donna Williams, (Charles) and Deborah Shifferly, (Craig); Grandchildren, Amy Jeffrey, David Jeffrey, (Kristin), Gabrielle Henry, (Hector), Joshua Jeffrey and his little sweetheart, Brittany Herlugson. He was predeceased by granddaughter Marisa Williams; Great-grandchildren, Ashley Jeffrey, Melody Jeffrey, Noah Jeffrey, Brogin Jeffrey, Maxwell Henry, Liliana Jeffrey and Emily Jeffrey; Also remembering him with love are his children of the heart, Douglas Blais, Cynthia Crowe and his Marine Corps family. His love for his family, including his grandchildren, was profound, and he found immense joy in the camaraderie of his Marine Corps family and the melodies of Country Western music.
A viewing and opportunity to visit with the family will be held on Monday, December, 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, located at 209 South Hammond Drive, Monroe, GA 30655. Interment will follow the next day at 1:00 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Hwy., Milledgeville, GA 31061.
