Sarah Ann Rainford peacefully passed from this life on October 25th in Loganville, GA, at the age of 95.
Sarah Ann Rainford was born in Kingston, Jamaica on February 25, 1929, where she attended and graduated from Whitfield HS. Sarah was the first of seven children, born to Lartius George Rainford and Christiana Letta Rainford. In 1989, she immigrated to the United States to be with her family.
Left to celebrate her life are her devoted son Robert Roper, and her four daughters, Leonie Salmon, Paulette Barksdale, Maxine Williams, and Vanetta Stern. She was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memories, two brothers and four sisters, Adelaide Rainford, Margaret Rainford-Dixon, Daisy Black, Arnold Rainford, David Rainford, and Evelyn McNeil and a host of extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Yanic Valentine De Cruz officiating. The Visitation will be prior to the service from 2-3 PM.
