Sue Maughon Saye, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2018 with her family by her side.
She was born on September 11, 1933 in Good Hope, Georgia, to the late Roy and Olive Maughon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Saye; two sisters, Allison M. Poss and Ina R. Maughon; and her brother Tommy Maughon.
She retired from Georgia Chapter Arthritis Foundation and was a long time member of Sewell Mill Baptist Church. She had a love for reading and telling stories to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Angie Lenard (Peter) and Katie Cox (Jodie); her beloved grandchildren, Joseph, Lainie and Faith Cox, Chandler Simmons, Nick and Ali Lenard; sister in law, Carole Maughon, of Buckhead, Georgia; sisters, Molly Howard, of Monroe, Georgia, and Marion Gann, of Cape Coral, Florida.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10AM at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel, Marietta, Georgia. Funeral services will begin at 11AM with Rev. David Watson officiating; interment will follow at the Good Hope Christian Cemetery in Good Hope, Georgia.
