Obituary: Betty M. Pike, 90, of Monroe

Betty M Pike of Monroe, GA, stepped out of her earthly body on February 25, 2021. She was born in Thomaston, Georgia, on January 13, 1931, to the late Guy and Lillie Gray.

Betty, along with her late husband Rev. George L. Pike Sr. founded and she was the longest standing member of Love’s temple and what is known as Little Bethlehem.

She is now reunited for eternity with her loving husband George, her beautiful granddaughter Michelle, her parents, Guy and Lillie Gray, and all of her siblings, John, Bentley, Sara, and Brenda, as well as many other loved ones and friends who made their crossings before her and now celebrate her arrival.

She now watches over her eight children and their spouses Sharon, George Jr “Ricky” and his wife Rebecca, Cindy and her husband Wayne, David, Melody “Susie”, Gracie and her husband Myron, Joe and his wife Simone and Danny. Her 27 grandchildren, her 42 great-grandchildren and, her 7 great great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other family members.

During her 90 years she touched thousands of lives and was a beautiful light which will continue to shine throughout eternity here on earth and beyond. She will be remembered as a mother, advisor, counselor, teacher and a shining example to many.

She was laid to rest on February 28, 2021 next to her husband in a special memorial built in their honor located on George L Pike Sr Parkway.
