Irene Chriswell, age 76 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. A Funeral Service was held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Sosebee officiating. Interment followed at First Baptist Church of Youth, 2655 Broadnax Mill Road, Loganville. The family received friends 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM prior to the service.
Irene was a substitute teacher for Walton County Board of Education prior to retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Lenard and Jewell (Peppers) Davis; sister, Claudia Odean Moon; and granddaughter, Kelly Ann Chriswell.
Irene is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Chriswell of Loganville; children, James Walker Chriswell, Jr. of Loganville, Elizabeth Ann Chriswell of Loganville, Robin Amanda Chriswell of Newnan, Adam Michael Chriswell (Angel) of Monroe, James Richard Thompson of Mobile, AL; brothers, Chester Lenard Davis, Jr. of Bethlehem, Lester Eugene Davis of Monroe, Bobby Lamar Davis of Bethlehem, Timothy Scott Davis of GA; sisters, Janice Faye Pierce of Statham, Kathy Denise Criswell of Bethlehem, and Patricia Lynn Davis of Loganville; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous family and friends.
