Obituary: Sandra Louise Glover Nygaard, 76, of Loganville

The world lost a beloved mother, wife, and Nana, Sandra Louise Glover Nygaard, 76, of Loganville, GA on April 15, 2026.

Sandra Louise Nygaard was born in Memphis, TN to James Buren Glover II and Nancy “Betty” Elizabeth Faulkner Glover.

After graduating from The University of Georgia with a Masters Degree of Early Education, Sandra went on to pursue a lifelong career in education, where she touched numerous lives in her tenure. One of her most important accomplishments as an educator, was being listed in the “Who’s Who In America Teachers.”

Sandra married Eric Bledsoe Nygaard in 1970, and celebrated nearly 56 wonderful years together. Sandra was known for her kind heart and devotion to church and God. Her home was just another place you called home, as well.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Eric, and her two children, Nancy Elizabeth Nygaard and Meredith Ann Hallman, and her heart grandson, Austin Bennett (Vanessa Peebles, fiancé). She is also survived by her siblings, brother-in-law Kurt (deceased) and Cindy Nygaard (OH), brother-in-law Mark and Patrice Nygaard (GA), and sister-in-law Lisa and Eric McVey (GA) and sister-in-law, Debbie Glover (GA), uncle Jack Barnes (Frances) (GA), and nephews Patrick Nygaard (Ali) (OH), Sam Lloyd (Jessica) (GA), Fran Nygaard (GA), Ike Nygaard (Marianne) (Budapest), Kyle Wolf (GA), and Andrew Glover (Melissa)(GA), and nieces Sara Williamson (Richard) (IL), Angelina Lloyd (GA), Leina Nygaard (GA), Lisa Craig (TX), Kristen Doster (John)(GA), and Staci Howell (Shay) (GA), and Heather Glover (GA). Also survived by, Carmen Snook (WV), and David Faulkner (GA) and many cousins and so many dear friends that were too like, family. Sandra was preceeded in death by her brother, James Buren Glover III, and both of her parents.

Celebration of Life details will follow at a later date to be held in Loganville, GA.
