Obituary: Walter Easley Simmons, Jr., 95, of Loganville

Walter Easley Simmons, Jr., age 95 of Loganville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. A Memorial Service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Grayson United Methodist Church, 555 Grayson Parkway, Grayson, Georgia, with Rev. Liza Marler officiating. A Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Walter enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He loved his family and spent most of his time with them. He especially loved his granddaughter, Maggie.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Greenwood) Simmons; daughter, Kay Suzanne Simmons; parents, Walter E. Simmons, Sr., and Myrtle Raborn Simmons; and sisters, Ona May Jenkins, Euna O. Davis, Helen R. Douglas, Margie M. Frierson, and Dorothy C. Witthauer. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brent Simmons and June Townsend; and grandchild, Maggie Grace Simmons.
