MONROE, Ga. – On Stage Playhouse will hold auditions for an adult talent show as well as a play for young actors from 11-18 as a fantastic kickoff for the theater’s 2025-26 season.
Both the talent show and “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” will be staged at Monroe’s Town Green. The auditions will be held at the Playhouse, 215 High School Ave., Monroe, Ga., 30655. Free parking is available.
“The talent show is Monroe’s version of ‘America’s Got Talent’ and ‘Saturday Night Live,’” said Marc Hammes, artistic director of On Stage. “Our talent shows bring out the best of local talent – from singers to comics and everyone in between. Come on, Monroe! This is your time to shine.”
Audition dates for the talent show are Saturday, Aug. 16, 2-5 p.m., and Wednesday, Aug. 20, 6-8 p.m. To register for an audition time, visit onstagewalton.org. The show date is Sept. 20.

“We will cast 12-plus actors, both male and female,” said Lori Wainio, who is directing the play along with Laura Griffin and Vicki Wrobel. If you have questions, contact Lori at director@onstagewalton.org
“Actors are required to be ages 11-18 (student in 6th-12th grade),” she said. “If you want to join the crew to run lights, sound, set or stage managing, please let us know.”
Please come at any time during the audition dates and times. The auditions will last about 30 minutes. There will be cold readings from the script. No prepared material is required. All roles are volunteer and unpaid.
Bring your calendars and be prepared to note any rehearsal conflicts.
