MONROE – On Stage, a Walton County community theater, will produce the county’s second annual On Stage One Act Festival for Walton County Public High Schools at 6 p.m. on October 9 at the Loganville High School Auditorium.

Participating schools are Monroe Area High School, Walnut Grove High School and Loganville High School. Tickets are $5 each, and will be available at the door.
The one-act festival is made possible by a grant from the Walton Foundation.  The first place winner will receive $1250, second place $1000 and third place will receive $750 towards each schools’ drama program through the Walton Foundation and On Stage.
“On Stage wants to give a special thanks to the Walton Foundation for making this event possible.  We wish all of the schools great success in their one act competitions!” says On Stage Artistic Director, Marc Hammes.
The three high school drama departments participate annually in the Georgia High School One Act Competitions.  Monroe Area High School will be performing Cut! by Ed Monk.  Loganville High School will be performing Medea by Nelly E. Cuellar Garcia and Walnut Grove High School will perform The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Simon Stephens based on the novel by Mark Haddon.
