Restart Rally gives local students a chance to win a free car ahead of the Festival of Hope

Restart Rally is Aug. 16 – Festival of Hope is Sept. 20 – 23

Middle and high school students from across Walton and surrounding counties are invited to kick off the new school year at the Restart Rally on Sunday, Aug. 16, at 5:30 p.m. Lighthouse World Outreach Center in Monroe.

The free event is open to students in grades 6-12 and will feature food, games, music, prizes, fun activities, and an inspirational speaker. Organizers say the evening is designed to encourage students as they begin a new school year while also introducing them to the upcoming Festival of Hope.

One of the biggest announcements of the evening will be how students can enter to win a free car simply by attending the Festival of Hope, scheduled for Sept. 20-23 at the American Legion Fairgrounds in Monroe. Every student who attends the Restart Rally will automatically be entered into the drawing for the vehicle.

There is no cost to attend either the Restart Rally or to enter the car giveaway.

The Festival of Hope in September will feature free nightly concerts with Christian artists Mac Powell, Colton Dixon, Jamal Roberts, Jordan McCullough, Juan DeVevo, and Melodee DeVevo, along with evangelist Doug Elks of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

The Restart Rally and Festival of Hope are sponsored by churches throughout Barrow, Oconee, Walton, and Newton counties, with the Restart Rally hosted by Lighthouse World Outreach Center in Monroe.

The World Outreach Center is located at 609 Gene Bell Road in Monroe and the American Legion Fairgrounds in Monroe are located at 1317 / 1320 E Church St, Monroe.

Organizers encourage all area students to attend for an evening of fellowship, entertainment, and the opportunity to learn more about the Festival of Hope and its free car giveaway.
