Rhonda Jackson Goss, one of the members of the Goss family who were injured in an accident last weekend, has passed away. She was not able to overcome her injuries and passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017. Her funeral is set for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan Boyd will officiate.
All four members of the Goss family were injured in a single vehicle accident while on their way to a camping trip on July 8. According to the Georgia State Patrol report of the incident, the tire on the Ford F-350 that was towing a camper blew a front tire while traveling eastbound on Interstate 20 in Madison. The truck then ran off the road, hit a guard rain and struck a tree, separating from the camper in the process. Two of the members, Scott Goss, 46 and son, Tyler, 11, were able to get out through the back windshield. They were taken to Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. Rhonda Goss, 45, and the couple’s other son, Jacksen Goss, 15, were both lifeflighted in critical condition to Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center after being extricated from the vehicle.

Rhonda Jackson was a PTO member, volunteer and substitute teacher at Sharon Elementary School in Loganville.
