ROAD CLOSURE: GA Highway 138 will be closed April 6 – 10, 2026 for bridge repairs

Closure will be between Nunnally Farm Road and Youth Jersey Road

Walton County Public Works announced that Georgia Department of Transportation will close Highway 138 over Big Flat Creek between Nunnally Farm Road and Youth Jersey Road beginning beginning April 6th-10th, 2026 for bridge repairs. GADOT has revised their dates for the Highway 138 road closure to coincide with Spring Break.

“Please note that this is a GaDOT project and Walton County Public Works will not be able to update on the progress of this project,” WCPW noted on social media in the announcement. “Please use alternate routes as shown until completion of the project. We greatly appreciate your patience.”
