LOGANVILLE, GA (March 18) – Walton County officials recently felt the need to explain the new traffic barrels that have begun appearing on Highway 20 in Loganville.
“We’ve been getting a few calls lately about the new traffic barrels popping up on Highway 20, so we wanted to share a quick update on what’s happening. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has officially kicked off a project to install three new roundabouts along the corridor! Because Highway 20 is a state highway, this project is being fully managed and overseen by (Georgia Department of Transportation) GDOT rather than the county,” was noted on the Walton County government’s social media.
Officials went on to explain that the project is expected to wrap up in the Fall of 2028.
“We know roadwork can be a bit of a headache, but we sincerely appreciate your patience and safe driving as GDOT works to improve traffic flow in our area.”
