This Saturday, Faith in Serving Humanity will begin taking applications from Walton County resident in need of help with toys for their children for Christmas. F.I.S.H. will check the applications, and then distribute them to people who wish to “adopt” a child for Christmas.
F.I.S.H. will be taking these applications from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Nov. 4, 11, and 18 at the Ministry office at 700 S. Madison Ave. in Monroe.
F.I.S.H. is asking for volunteers for the following assistance:
1. If you have some time, you are asked to volunteer to check, & enter the applications into the computer database.
2. If you, your church, business, or organization, wishes to adopt a number of children (for example, an “Angel Tree”) you are asked to email volunteers@fishofwalton.org with the number of children and your contact info. After applications have been checked, F.I.S.H. will email to you names & contact info for the children.
3. If you would like to help but are unable to help directly, you can donate toward the cost of the toys that F.I.S.H. will purchase for the children who are not “adopted.” To do this you can go to www.fishofwalton.org and click on the yellow DONATE button and write “Christmas Toys” in the Special Instructions.
