If you’ve traveled down Spring Street in the last couple of years then chances are you’ve noticed the American flag mural on Spring Street.

The eagle has landed.

“I’ve wanted to have an eagle as a part of the mural since the flag was painted but I don’t have any artistic abilities, property owner John Thrower said during an on camera interview. Local artist Jessie Ulrich was busy adding her artistic touch to the existing American flag paining and it wasn’t long before an eagle began to appear.

“I believe when you add color to a wall you’re adding hope to the community.” Ulrich said.

So next time you travel down Spring Street in Monroe take notice to the American flag and the recently added American eagle – a subtle reminder that we live in the greatest country in the world.
