Event takes place Oct. 23
MONROE, Ga. — Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Cookout for a Cause, Piedmont Walton Hospital’s annual fundraiser benefiting breast health services in Walton County.
The event will be held Friday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Piedmont Walton Hospital. Lunch tickets are $15, while a lunch-and-T-shirt bundle is available for $30 through Sept. 30.
Proceeds will support continued improvements to breast imaging and breast health services at the hospital.
“This year, approximately $50,000 in donor-supported funding helped expand the Breast Imaging Center to include onsite bone density (DEXA) scanning,” said Joey Vira, director of imaging services at Piedmont Walton Hospital. “This expansion allows patients to conveniently schedule their screening mammogram and DEXA scan on the same day and in the same location, creating a more seamless and patient-centered experience.”
The Breast Imaging Center served 3,491 patients during fiscal year 2025, including 24 patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Sponsorship opportunities remain available.
