Initial Story
Interruptions may cause temporary discoloration but no boiling of water is required
The Walton County Government notified water customers Monday night that the primary water source is currently experiencing technical malfunctions. While crews are actively working to restore full operations, water storage tanks will still need time to refill once the issue is resolved.
“We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this issue as quickly and safely as possible,” was noted in a social media post. “No boiling is required. Walton County Water customers are assured that the drinking water remains safe for all uses. Recent supply interruptions may cause temporary cloudiness or discoloration, but this does not affect water quality or safety. The system meets all standards, and appearance issues will clear as operations stabilize.”
