WCSO Alerts: Armed robbery at Dominos on Highway 81

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness and Community Alerts for Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 1

Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 81 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual contacting them by telephone stating the complainant had an outstanding warrant for not appearing for jury duty and they needed to purchase a pre-pay card to post bond.

ZONE 3

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Pleasant Valley Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male and female taking items from the residence around 8:00pm. Suspect gone prior to deputy’s arrival. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Arrest- Alex Brown was arrested in the area of Pleasant Valley Road and Highway 11 for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to distribute and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop.

ZONE 4

Traffic Offense- One motorist in an tractor trailer was cited in the area of John Stowe Spur for Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device following a traffic stop.

Citation- Two individuals were cited at a residence on Eliza Doster Road for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

ZONE 5

Armed Robbery- Deputies responded to the Dominos on Highway 81 in reference to an unknown male wearing all black with a ski mask robbing the clerk at gun point. Suspect fled on foot and was picked up by a dark in color passenger vehicle. Deputies and Walton County Sheriff’s Office K9 units thoroughly searched the area, but had no contact. The armed robbery occurred at about 2150 hours on Jan. 23 at the Domino’s at 5141 Highway 81 Loganville. “A dark color four door car dropped this person off, believed to be a dark skinned black male approximately 5’9” and 150lbs. The suspect approached the Domino’s Pizza from the rear, entered the front door and demanded all the money from the safe. He had a black bag over his right hand and advised that he had a gun. He was wearing all black with a black hooded jacket and a black ski mask with two eye holes. The suspect was carrying a black and red Nike branded duffle bag. He was also wearing Converse All Star “Chuck Taylor” style shoes, black, with a white toe and white laces.”)

ZONE 6

Arrest- Kevin Moon was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Miller Bottom Road for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Malakai Smith was arrested in the area of Highway 78 for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and a Seatbelt Violation following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Michael Miller was arrested in the area of Tom Brewer Road and Hoke Court for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Fleeing to Elude, Driving Under the Influence, and Driving While Unlicensed following a short vehicle pursuit.
