The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 25 and 26, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Monday, Feb. 25, 2019
Arrest- Mikka Carter was arrested at a residence on Highway 278 for outstanding warrants out of Barrow County.
Arrest- Norrica Brown was arrested at the hospital on West Spring Street for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.
Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Thomas Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual made numerous transactions on the complainant’s checking account.
Arrest- Rodney Crockett was arrested at a business on Highway 20 for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Arrest- Johnathan Belyeu II was arrested in the area of Highway 138 near Walnut Grove Animal Hospital for an outstanding warrant out of Rockdale County following a traffic stop.
Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019
Agency Assist- Walton County Deputies assisted Henry County Sheriff’s Office with their arrest of Cynthia Ard out of Barnesville in the area of Highway 138 following a vehicle pursuit that ended in Walton County. WCSO reported the event on its Facebook page, noting that the chase ended with the stolen car, along with pursuing Henry County deputy’s vehicle, both running over the spike strips. The car, flat tires and all, was recovered and the Henry County Deputy was none the worse for wear.
Arrest- Edmond Duffey and Alexis Rodriguez were arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Forrester Cemetery Road following a traffic stop.
Edmond Duffey was arrested for Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Giving False Information to an Officer, and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
Alexis Rodriguez was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, and Crossing the Guard Lines.
Citation- One individual was cited at a residence on Riveredge Lane for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.
