The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for the March 3 – 5, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Friday, March 3, 2017
ZONE 1
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a three vehicle accident in the area of Highway 138 and Old Highway 138. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81. No injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Adams Way in reference to several juveniles riding ATV’s in the roadway throughout the day and night time hours. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, no contact. Everything appeared to be okay. Extra patrol requested in reference to the ongoing issue.
ZONE 2
Arrest- Tiffany Miller was arrested at a residence in the area of Mount Paron Church Road for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
ZONE 3
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and George L Pike Parkway. No life threatening injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
ZONE 4
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11 and John Stowe Road. No life threatening injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Shoal Creek Road and Perry Smith Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this Safety Check.
Citations Written in Reference to Safety Check:
- One motorist received a warning for Open Container and was cited for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
ZONE 5
Fraud- Deputies responded to a business in the area of Highway 11 to take a report of an unknown individual making excessive charges on complainants account unlawfully.
Arrest- Smith Ryles was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and New Hope Church Road for an outstanding warrant out of Muskogee County following a traffic stop.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Shiloh Road and Shiloh Oak Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this Safety Check.

- One Motorist cited for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
Arrest- Anthony Berretta was arrested at a residence in the area of Double Springs Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a dispute.
ZONE 6
Fraud- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Youth Monroe Road to take a report of an unknown individual using complainants debit card unlawfully.
Arrest- Thomas Blackwell was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Tuck Road for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County following a traffic stop.
ZONE 7
Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Hunter Hollow Subdivision in reference to several unknown individuals in a silver Honda Accord entering to subdivision without headlights on and then leaving the area in a high rate of speed. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, no contact with the vehicle. Everything appeared to be okay.

Arrest- Dustin Barker was arrested in the area of Highway 138 for Driving on Suspended License following a traffic stop.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Jims Daws Road and Harry Arnold Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this Safety Check.

- One motorist cited for Driving Outside Permit Limits.
ZONE 4
Arrest- Terry Brown Jr. and Rodney Siam were arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Walker Park Drive for Possession of Controlled Schedule I Drugs with Intent to Distribute following a traffic stop.
Arrest- Joshua Hardin was arrested in the area of Eliza Doster Road and Highway 11 for Driving on Suspended License following a traffic stop.
ZONE 5
Damage to Property- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Highway 11 to take a report of an unknown individual damaging homeowner’s fence. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.
Arrest- Maria Garcia was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Double Springs Road for Driving Under the Influence, Open Container and Failure to Maintain Lane following a traffic stop.

Damage to Property- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Stewart Road to take a report of an unknown individual throwing eggs at homeowners residence sometime in the late evening/early morning hours.
Damage to Property- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Emerald Drive in Emerald Cove Subdivision to take a report of an unknown individual running over homeowner’s mailbox.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Road and South Sharon Church Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this Safety Check.

Arrest- David Massie was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Old Highway 138 for an outstanding warrant out of Cowetta County following a traffic stop.
Theft- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Oak Valley Drive to take a report of an unknown individual receiving a package from UPS on complainant’s behalf.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 83. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this Safety Check.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Watson Fain Road. No injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Bay Creek Church Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.
Citation- One motorist was cited in the area Highway 81 and Double Springs Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.
ZONE 6
Burglary- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Centerhill Church Road to take a report of an unknown individual taking several items from homeowner’s residence unlawfully. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 83. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Arrest- Roy Adcox was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Atkinson Road for outstanding warrants out of Duluth and Gwinnett County following a traffic stop.
