WCSO Community Alerts: Several accidents, including one involving a horse

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following  Community Alerts for Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Wednesday, August 23, 2017

ZONE 1

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Thompson Lane in reference to an unknown light colored passenger vehicle driving up and down the roadway.

ZONE 2

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Dean Hill Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident with a horse in the area of Highway 278. No injuries reported. Horse’s owner was cited on scene by Walton County Animal Control for Animal at Large. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

ZONE 3

Arrest- Mitchell Gay was arrested in the area of Indian Shoals Road at the bridge for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a suspicious vehicle call. Other individuals on location advised to leave and left without incident.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Mendy Powell and Jake Kennedy were arrested at a residence in the area of Hunters Crossing Lane. Mendy Powell was arrested for two outstanding Probation Violation warrants out of Gwinnett County. Jake Kennedy was arrested for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Barrow County and Obstruction following a brief foot chase with deputies where Kennedy attempted to flee.

ZONE 5

Identity Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Brookeshade Court in reference to an unknown individual opening a credit card in complainants name and spending money on it.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence in the area of Apalachee Ridge in reference to an unknown individual damaging complainant’s vehicle.

Arrest- Lisa Queen was arrested at a residence on Arbor Road for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Greenridge Drive in Hidden Creek Subdivision in reference to an unknown individual knocking on complainant’s door and attempting to get in. Deputies made contact with the suspect and they advised they were at the wrong residence.

Damage to Property- Deputies responded to the area of Victoria Park Drive in Victoria Park subdivision in reference to an unknown individual that spray painted the entry sign to the neighborhood.

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Lafayette Drive in reference to an unknown individual taking complainants check that was sent to them via mail.

ZONE 7

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 138 at Woodlake Golf Course in Woodlake Subdivision in reference to an unknown vehicle on location at one of the golf holes. Deputies made contact with the motorist and they advised they were with the golf courses maintenance crew. Deputies confirmed the information.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to a business in the area of Highway 81 in reference to an unknown unoccupied vehicle on location after hours.

Arrest- Mark Luedee was arrested at a residence in the area of Bypass Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Loganville Police Department.
