In the Hazardous Weather Outlook for north and centra lGeorgia, the National Weather Service at Peachtree City is warning of the potential each day for the possibility of severe weather this week, beginning this afternoon and into the evening.
According to the NWS, “Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely over north Georgia this afternoon and evening. The main threats will be strong to damaging wind gusts.”
Continuing Tuesday through Sunday, “Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected through Sunday, especially during the afternoon and evening hours each day. Locally heavy rainfall will be the primary concern in these storms, though a few storms could become strong, capable of producing gusty winds and some lightning.”
