Wildlife Critters Charity Poker Run Saturday

On Saturday, Oct. 31, there is a charity Poker Run for Wildlife Critters Circle of Life Rehabilitation Center in Covington. This event was rescheduled from Oct. 10 – but having it on Halloween gives it so much more character, and reportedly there are “lots of nice raffles” as well.

You’re invited to bring your motorcycle or jeep for the poker run and to dress yourself, or your bike or jeep, up for Halloween. The registration fee is $25 and proceeds are to support Wildlife Critters Circle and Life Rehabilitation Center in its efforts to “rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned native mammals, reptiles, and birds and to give children in the community the opportunity to experience the love, affection, and responsibility we have to care for God’s creations.”

Start and finish is at 5 O’Clock Sports Bar & Grill in Covington. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with kickstands up at 10:30 a.m.

More about Wildlife Critters Circle of Life Rehabilitation Center

With over 30 years of experience, we are a small licensed 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization outside the metro Atlanta area. We are called to nurture and rehabilitate mammals and reptiles. We care for the wildlife from bottle fed babies to adults with the goal to release them back into the wild. Critters that are not able to be released are used in our wildlife education ministry.  Donations are critical to sustaining our mission and providing for the animals. In addition to native wildlife, WLC has rescued many exotics animals providing them a permanent home. This allows us to continue educating the public on species not found in Georgia. Donations and birthday parties with our farm animals and exotic provides money to the non-profit to continue providing medical care for critters of all sizes.
