The Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts is offering a unique opportunity for friends and family members to connect through creativity during “Woven Together: A Shared Art Experience for Pairs” on Saturday, June 27, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Led by therapeutic art practitioner Gracy Bondy, the workshop encourages participants to attend with someone special—whether a friend, spouse, parent, child, grandparent, sibling, or cousin—and create mixed-media tapestries that reflect their shared relationship and memories. See her bio HERE
Using fabric, yarn, natural fibers, and other materials, each pair will design individual art pieces connected through common colors, textures, and woven elements. Organizers say the guided process is designed to foster conversation, creativity, and meaningful connection.
The class is open to ages 9 through adult, and no previous art experience is required. All supplies are included in the $69 registration fee per pair. Space is limited to eight pairs, with registrations accepted up until the event if openings remain available.
