
If you have a young athlete looking to get stronger, build confidence, and gain valuable leadership skills you can have them tryout for the YMCA Ducks swim team! Coach Ej has years of experience building stronger swimmers and stronger individuals. His supportive and caring coaching helps children reach goals both in the water and out of it!
Open evaluations closed last week but you can still reach out to schedule an evaluation.
- Program: Georgia Piedmont YMCA DUCKS Swim Team
- Ages: 6–18 years old
- Skill levels: Beginner through advanced
- Locations:
- Walton County YMCA — Monroe
- Brad Akins YMCA — Winder
- Bell Family YMCA — Hartwell
- Season: Fall 2026 short-course season
- Focus: Swimming technique, endurance, teamwork, discipline, confidence, sportsmanship and goal-setting.
- Coaching: Certified, experienced coaches provide support and instruction based on each swimmer’s skill level.
- Practice: Times vary depending on team placement.
- Evaluations: Used to determine the appropriate team level based on each swimmer’s skills and experience.
- Open evaluations:
- The posted open-evaluation period ended on Aug. 20 but after that date, evaluations can be scheduled by email with Coach EJ
