Tis the Season of Giving, and that is the theme for this year’s Christmas Parade in Monroe. The Historic Courthouse and the downtown trees are all lit for the 64th Annual Christmas Parade, which begins at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday, Dec. 7.
Bands will be playing Christmas carols as children line the streets waiting for a glimpse of Santa. The stores and restaurants will be open, so make a night of it. Remember to bundle up though, the cold weather expected will remind us that winter is just around the corner.
